Overview

Discover Muscat from two completely different perspectives — exploring the capital’s landmarks, old trading quarters and historic harbour before taking to the water for a sunset paddle along the coast.

Begin the day at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of Oman’s most remarkable architectural landmarks, before continuing towards the historic waterfront of Muttrah. Walk along the Corniche, wander through the lanes of Muttrah Souq and discover the maritime connections that shaped Muscat and Oman over centuries.

Continue into Old Muscat, where rugged mountains surround the historic harbour and Al Alam Palace, before stopping for a relaxed local lunch.

As the afternoon begins to cool, leave the city streets behind and head towards the coast.

After meeting your kayaking team and a safety briefing, take to the water for a guided paddle along Muscat’s shoreline. See the capital from an entirely different perspective as rocky mountains and coastal landscapes rise beyond the water.

As the sun begins to fall, enjoy the changing light from the sea before returning to shore.

From mosque courtyards and old trading streets to paddling along the Gulf of Oman, this is a full day experiencing Muscat from city to sea.
